Rev. W.H. Emsley was Pastor of Grace Methodist from 1908 until 1911. William Henry Emsley was born in England in March, 1850. He married Susan Major in Pickering on 29th of August, 1878. He enlisted as a Chaplain during World War One, despite his age, and by 1918 he held the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. He died from heart trouble in London, Ontario on October 15th,1919.
